Synguard expands management team for further international expansion

Synguard, a specialist in access management, is reinforcing its international growth ambitions by expanding its management team. Two industry experts, Bart Petit and Peter Van Bockstal, are joining the team to further strengthen the organisation's strategic and commercial pillars.

Bart Petit joins as Product Director. With over 20 years of experience in the electronic security industry, Bart has built an impressive track record in product innovation and strategic growth. During his career at Aritech, he held positions ranging from Product Manager to Product Director and Strategic Leader. He managed product portfolios worth over $100 million and led multidisciplinary teams in the development of groundbreaking solutions in the fields of intrusion detection, access control, video and cloud-based security services.

"I am excited to join Synguard as Product Director. With over 20 years of experience in product strategy and integrated security solutions, I strongly believe in Synguard's innovative technology, which combines cybersecurity by design, open API integrations and the flexibility of both on-premise and cloud-hosted solutions. I look forward to driving innovation and helping to build the future of Synguard, with the aim of becoming an international market leader in the security industry." – Bart Petit, Product Director

Peter Van Bockstal will take on the role of Commercial Director. Peter brings more than 13 years of experience from Nedap, where he progressed from Business Development Manager to Regional Sales Manager for the Benelux and Southern Europe, and later Sales Leader. With his extensive knowledge of international markets and proven commercial strength, Peter is the right person to further strengthen Synguard's market position.

‘I am proud to join Synguard as Commercial Director and to be part of such a young, driven and dynamic team. It is an honour to help shape the company and steer its commercial strategy. I am truly convinced that Synguard has everything it takes to become the market leader in access control, both in terms of products and organisation.’ – Peter Van Bockstal, Commercial Director

Synguard continues to invest in innovation, people and markets to strengthen its position as a leading player in security solutions worldwide.

"We can be incredibly proud of what we have built together at Synguard over the past few years. We have evolved from an ambitious underdog to an established name in the market – while retaining our own identity, culture and flexibility. Today, we are actively present in more than nine countries, our first strategic white label partnership is a reality, and our solutions are increasingly being chosen by demanding customers in various sectors. Think of projects for the police, defence, a major international airport and other critical infrastructures.

Since 2022, we have tripled our number of employees. These new investments – with the recruitment of these two new top talents with a combined 45 years of experience in our industry – show that we are not waiting for growth, but actively anticipating it. With a strong and focused management team, we are taking the next step towards the future. We continue to invest: in our people, in our technology, and in strategic partnerships.

For me personally, this is also a special moment. Whereas until now I have been heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of a flat organisation, we are now moving towards a structure in which I will focus on leading the management team. I am very much looking forward to this next phase and our joint journey to further grow Synguard into the European market leader in high-end access control. Synguard to the future!" – Bert Meert, Managing Director
